"Jamaica, Queens (NYC) 1992. Producer Thyst ran into these two MC's at a local barbershop. Lyrisik and Kompound aka Da Odd Kuple literally made some moves as dancers. Once they started to get 'bizzum wit sum lyrisissum' they needed beats to flow on so Da Odd Kuple and Thyst met each other at the right time. They started recording songs at Firehouse Studio, the spot in Brooklyn at the time. Artists such as MC Lyte, Wu-Tang Clan, Masta Ace, Mobb Deep and Gang Starr recorded their music in the same studio. The songs never got released until now.
Twentyfive years later Ruff Roosta Records is proud to present 'Da Odd Kuple', 'Bizzum Wit Sum Lyrisissum' EP. A combination of raw, funky beats and unlimited, rugged lyricism."
